Directions to Dolan Science Center:

If entering campus from Belvoir: Follow the marked path of traffic through the parking lot (left turn, then a right turn at the stop sign). Follow the road to the next stop sign, go straight. when you come into the back parking lot you will see the largest building on Campus. This is the Dolan Science Center. Enter the building from any door in the middle of the building (front or back). The reception is in the reading room directly off of the main central atrium. Visitor parking is free.

If entering campus from Fairmount Circle/North Park Blvd. Entrance: Turn northeast off Fairmount Circle onto North Park Blvd (the road between Huntington Bank and a BP gas station). Come to the Y in the road, turn right, and then immediately left into the entrance. Tell the guard you are here for an event in Dolan. Dolan Science Center is the huge building directly in front of you. Park anywhere and come into the building from any middle entrance. The reception is in the reading room directly off of the main central atrium. Visitor parking is free.

October 16, 2003 MSNO Fall Meeting
Electron Microprobe Analysis (EMPA) will be held at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles, Ohio, starting in mid-afternoon. Our speakers will be MSNO Trustee Dan Kremser (Advanced MicroBeam) and MAS Tour Speaker Greg Meeker, United States Geological Survey. Dan will be giving us a refresher on EMPA and Greg will be discussing the EMPA analysis of World Trade Center Dusts from the 9/11/2001 Attacks.

Reindeer Graphics announces Quantitative Image Analysis courses

Reindeer Graphics, Inc. will be offering courses on Quantitative Image Analysis. Taught by Dr. John C. Russ and the Reindeer Graphics staff, these courses emphasize practical solutions to imaging problems. The course includes 2 days of intensive training in current techniques, including an evening open laboratory where participants are encouraged to bring and work with their own images. The course is taught using the Reindeer Graphics Fovea Pro software <http://www.reindeergraphics.com/foveapro>, and participants receive
both a copy of Fovea Pro and a copy of "The Image Processing Handbook," Dr. Russ' widely-used reference guide.
